By Casey Crowley of the Daily Courier WILLIAMS — Chaz Rogers likes to bike and hike around Pipe Fork Creek, but that experience could be much different if the county goes through with to harvest 114 acres of trees in the area. "All of these trees will be gone," Rogers said. It's not a done deal yet. Rogers and about 40 others are trying to stop the timber sale and instead want to see the area developed into an area for recreation. The coronavirus limited the season to just that one meet. By Ben Maki of the Daily Courier The Grants Pass equestrian team got off to a strong start this year, only for the season to be cut short by the coronavirus. The team featured five seniors, all of whom qualified for state in at least one event the year before. "The seniors have been in this for four years," Grants Pass coach Sam Henricks said. Entrants received points for each correct pick they made in the tournament. Bransfield, who works at Rogue Community College, scored 450 out of a possible 600 points to beat out 311 other Pick âNâ Roll contestants. Jerry Snodgrass of Grants Pass, who also picked Virginia to win the crown, finished second with 440 points.
